Accurate, Controlled Test Data for Credit Card Testing by admin on Feb 12, 2020

In this week’s GenRocket Advisor, we showcase a recent credit card processing and account management Proof of Concept (POC) that was successfully completed for a major financial services company.

The POC is a critical part of the customer acquisition process. It’s where we roll up our sleeves and work with our channel partners to help their customer take the GenRocket solution for a test drive. POC acceptance criteria usually become the basis for closing a deal and establishing a customer relationship that will endure for many years.

This POC was a fun experience for our team. It’s always gratifying to hear a customer explain what they belief to be a difficult test data challenge and for our team to simply say “sure, that’s no problem.”

This financial services company needed credit account numbers to accurately represent the major card providers and satisfy the Mod 10 algorithm check. They wanted to pair that data with accurate customer ID numbers and realistic social security numbers and other data related to card categories and reward programs. The data had to conform to their database structure and maintain all key field relationships. And they wanted the data in multiple formats including ASCII, EBCDIC and Parquet format.

We hope you find the case study to be interesting and informative.
