Our Story

After years working as a principal engineer and chief architect in numerous high-profile software startups Hycel Taylor realized that each company was having the same problem when it came to software testing – limited access to complex test data. For over a decade, in his spare time, Hycel worked on creative solutions that would allow for easy generation of realistic, random, patterned and conditioned test data for any data model.

In 2011 Hycel Taylor met and partnered with Garth Rose to package the technology into what is now known as GenRocket. In 2012 they incorporated GenRocket and won their first customers.

Garth is an expert at launching and building technology startups. He has held numerous senior leadership roles in startups over the past 25 years including President & CEO of Concentric Visions (VC backed + acquired), VP Sales & VP Business Development at Indus River Networks (VC backed + acquired), VP Sales & Marketing at Digital Products (acquired) and National Sales Manager at Leading Edge Products.

Garth has also been a guest speaker at leadership development and emotional intelligence workshops across North America and in 2013 helped create a business motivation video series called “Jump Start your Sales” that was delivered online to over 35,000 business people.

Allen’s business experience includes public and private companies, mergers and acquisitions, debt financing and equity financing up to $265 million, divestitures, bankruptcies and Native American tribes and tribally-owned companies. His financing and banking relationships include California banks, national banks and international banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms and investment banks.
