UI EDI Management Dashboard Overview

The EDI Management Dashboard is used to select the EDI Project (i.e., Header) and EDI Project Version. Each EDI Project represents one EDI Document or Transaction Set, which can be viewed within a structured tree view for easy navigation.

Here, users can customize the EDI Document or Transaction Set based on their implementation guide. They can also download the required files for generating EDI test data, and access components within the Self Service Platform (e.g., G-Cases, G-Rules, and G-Queries).

How to Access the EDI Management Dashboard

Expand the Management Menu within the Menu Bar and then select EDI Management.

EDI Management Dashboard Panes

The EDI Management Dashboard contains three panes:

  • EDI Header Pane
  • EDI Versions Pane
  • EDI Document Pane

EDI Header Pane

The EDI Header Pane is used to select an EDI Project. Each item in this pane represents a single EDI Document or Transaction Set.

Use the Action Column icons to edit, lock, unlock, or delete an EDI Project.

EDI Versions Pane

The EDI Versions Pane displays each EDI Project Version within the selected EDI Project.

Each EDI Project contains a default Project Version. Users may create a new EDI Project Version using the EDI Store or copy an existing EDI Project Version from within this pane.

Use the Action Column icons to edit, lock, unlock, and delete EDI Project Versions.

EDI Document Pane

The EDI Document Pane is used to view and manage the selected EDI Project Version within an EDI Project.

Items within the tree view can be expanded and collapsed. The image below shows an 837I EDI Document.

The following icons are used to designate the EDI Document, Segment, Loop, and Element within the tree view.

Use the Filter input field at the top to locate a specific Segment or Loop within the EDI Document or Transaction Set.

Click on the field and type all or part of the name, and the search will occur automatically. Use the X to remove the filter.

EDI Management Dashboard Buttons

EDI Document Pane Buttons are used to access specific Self Service Platform components and perform certain actions within the EDI Management Dashboard.

Use the buttons at the top of the EDI Document Pane to access G-Cases, G-Rules, and G-Queries for the selected EDI Project and Version.

The Collapse All button may be used to quickly collapse any expanded sections within the selected EDI Document or Transaction Set.

Use the EDI Config button to download the EDI Config File, which users must download to their local computer and place in a specific location to generate EDI test data.

Use the Scenarios button to download the Scenario Chain Set for the selected EDI Project and EDI Project Version. It will need to be downloaded to the user’s local computer to generate EDI test data.

Use the EDI Store button to create a new EDI Project for a selected EDI Document or Transaction Set
