How to Create a Scenario Chains
This lesson will show how to create a Scenario Chain within a selected Project Version of a given Project.
How to Create a Scenario Chain
Step 1: Within the Project Dashboard, click the New Scenario Chain button in the Scenario Chains Pane.
Step 2: Input a Name and Description (optional but recommended) for the Scenario Chain. Then click the Save button.
Step 3: Click the Plus (+) icon to the right of the Scenario Name to add a Scenario to the Scenario Chain.
Step 4: Add each Scenario in the order GenRocket should execute it.
The Arrow icon located to the far right can be used to change the order of the Scenarios within the Scenario Chain. The Minus (-) icon can be used to remove a Scenario from the Scenario Chain.
Step 5: (Optional) Users may set a Delay for each Scenario. GenRocket Runtime will wait the defined number of seconds before running the Scenario.
To set a delay, click on the Edit (Pencil) icon for the desired Scenario.
Enter the number of seconds and then click the Disk icon to save.
Step 6: Once finished, click the Download button to download the Scenario Chain.
Note: A user can also download a Scenario Chain from the Project Dashboard by clicking on the Download (Cloud) icon within the Scenario Chains Pane.
Running Scenario Chains
Users can run the Scenario Chain the same way an individual Scenario is run within a Command prompt or Terminal Session. To learn more, please see this article: How to run a Scenario Chain?
