EDI Project Versions

An EDI Project may have one or many EDI Project Versions. Each EDI Project has one default EDI Project Version, which contains the original standard configuration for the Document or Transaction Set.

An EDI Project may have more than one Project Version, representing a version of an EDI Document or Transaction Set.

How to View an EDI Project Version

The most current version will be selected automatically when viewing an EDI Project within the EDI Management Dashboard.

To view and work with a different version, click on the appropriate one within the EDI Versions Pane for the selected EDI Project (i.e., EDI Header).

How to create an EDI Version

A user may create an EDI Project Version in one of the following ways:

    1. New EDI Version – Create a new EDI Version with the standard EDI configuration. The steps for this method are the same as when creating a new EDI Project. Please see Lesson 4 of this training module.

  1. Copy EDI Version – Copy an existing EDI Project Version to create a new version with the same EDI Document or Transaction Set configuration.

How to Copy an EDI Version

To copy an EDI Version, complete these steps:

Step 1: Select the EDI Header within the EDI Management Dashboard.

Step 2: Click on the Copy EDI Version button.

Step 3: Select an EDI Version to copy.

Step 4: Enter a Version Number and Description for the new EDI Version.

Step 5: Click the Save button.

Step 6: Click Ok to close the prompt. The process will take a few minutes to complete.
