Creating Project Level Generator Tags

Generators are automatically assigned to new Attributes by the Data Warehouse based on usage statistics. Generator Tags can be used to override this assignment.

Generator Tags define rules for assigning a Generator automatically to new Attributes based on a specified tag value and match type. They can be created at the Project or Organization Level.

Project Level Generator Tags can only be used to assign Generators to new Attributes within any Project Version of a given Project.

In the example below, the NetherlandsCityGen Generator will be assigned any time “city” is part of the Attribute Name.

Two Ways to Create Project Level Generator Tags

1. Attribute Dashboard – A Generator Tag can be created from a Generator configuration by clicking on the Project Tag button.

   

2. Project Dashboard – A Generator Tag can be created and managed by selecting the Generator Tags Tab within the Management Pane.
